I bought my first slide from Tillman Music in Rock Hill, SC. shortly after getting my first electric.  I was looking to duplicate my dad’s experience playing in bars around Pearl Harbor Hawaii prior to Dec. 7, 1941, the attack on Pearl Harbor.  He introduced me to Don Ho on TV.  Today the JoyMaker HBP90 is my first attempt to capture the sound from Hawaii to the surrounding blue grass playing area of eastern NC. I’m hoping many of you will join me in learning to play the slide to add a new sound to your playing.
